Thanks, Ed. Yes I was alone. Do I follow that rule all the time......Nope. But 99% of the time I do, I'd feel more guilty about bringing heat to my riding buddies. I will not be hypocritical here and say I never speed. But I am way more selective of the places I do it. The one time I street race and it got me.....I'll deal. As you said, Ed......I will not be revisiting this post.

What is done when you are alone riding is different from what is done durring a group ride. I am sure all of us on occation has gone a mile or two over the posted limit  That wasn't the gripe here.
There are different rules to follow in a group ride on the street which is why they are posted on the top of the ride fourm.
I'm done here, this could just go back and fourth like every other stupid debate.
This is what it all comes down too.
Be really fucking careful on group rides and have a safe season without this happening again !
