I think the obsession with spectating is part of what has helped get the arrogance level in the players up to the point where they fight so much. If people stop caring the money will dry up and these guys will have to clean up their act.
If everyone got off their asses and went out and played some pick-up sports maybe they would be less likely to spend so much time & money being spectators. Playing is always more fun than watching IMO.
I think we have some motorcycle racing fans on this site but no one seems to be as obsessed with it as the average stick & ball fan. We've got lots of guys in our office who can recite the stats of half the guys in the NFL, I doubt anyone here can tell us that much info about Rossi, Hayden, whoever...

right...and it is really unfair to blame the player as well...they made made these guys the monsters they are...they feel they are above everything..why because they can dunk a ball... Please most of them would be homeless if it wasnt for basket ball.... They meaning the owners and the americam people who support them...
