I don't think a oil drain bolt or filter being safety wired would have helped that situation, if it's the one i'm thinking of, there was an engine failure with internal parts finding their way outside the cases
I wouldn't change a thing for bike prep and rider gear for your trackdays Tony, keeping the prep reasonable is probably the deciding factor whether they can do a trackday or not for some riders that don't work on their own bikes.

I also think it's a bit extreme to drain the coolant and have to drill and wire the oil drain bolt for a trackday, but it is what it is i guess
