As far as I know, double clutching involves letting the clutch out a bit in between shifts to sync up the gears, push clutch back in, and then release the clutch. This mostly is used in 18 wheelers with the numerous gears and extremely narrow power band. Or more recently in my eclipse when it is sub zero out and the gears are frozen together because valvoline put in the walmart special tranny fluid.

Thats how I "double clutched" when i was driving a logging truck I guess I didn't know your throttle clutched for you I musta been double "gasing". Oh I have to shift my jeep that way too but only because the tranny is getting tired especially in the cold.

you should tell him when he wacks the throttle if he yanks the front he can jump the bike then direct him to the movie Torque to see how it's done.
