in MA can you get a 2-stroke dirtbike, street legal?

I tried googling it, but all I found were forums discussing CA emission standards. So does this exist?

Do they come with lights/horn, etc.?

Can they be sprocketed for the dirt, and tolerably ridden (short distances) on the street?

Which 2 stroke dirtbikes are good platforms for this?

Anything CAN be done... if you know the rite people

I'm guessing you're talking about some sort of trail/mx bike? 2-smoker MX bike on the street probably would not be a good idea

I'd go with a 4-stroke for many reasons... not the least of which is the fact that they run on Pump gas. If you're out riding and need gas (likely) you'll be really happy you don't have to pre-mix.
Many people have "streeted" KTM EXC's with little more than a Baja Designs kit.

Well, I sort of had in mind, an oil-injected 2-stroke similar to the '79 KD125 dirtbike I had 4 years ago.

    How about one of these?

It's a lightweight, street-legal, oil-injected, a (rotary valve) 2-stroke, should work great in my parent's 1/2 acre backyard, small enough to throw into a mini-van (to trail ride), and must be fantastic in Boston since I'd never have to top 40mph.

Is the power really too low to have fun?

well, that depends on how much power you *need* in order to have fun.

my firest real off-road bike was a 2-stoke (old Elisonore that was older than me). it was a fun bike, but a shit load of maintence.
