I wear my seatbelt because with an airbag I feel that I am safer in an accident with my seatbelt on, should the airbag deploy, rather than if I was not wearing my seatbelt.
If someone has reason to think that this isnt true then please enlighten me but by looking at my cars owners manual it looks like they are saying that no seatbelt+deployed airbag in accident= serious injuries.
But I feel that wearing a seatbelt should be a matter of personal choice. Like many things that we do (drugs, alcohol, etc.) our government feels the need to mandate what we can and can not do in fear that we aren't intelligent enough to make our own decisions in these matters. |
