I don't know exactly what it is, but I have noticed that when we go skiing in VT especially killington, snow and stratton there seems to be more NY ers there than when we go to the NH or Maine mountains. The VT mountains are over run by NY ers and there is just a general feel of rudeness, lack of common courtesy.
The whole atitude of I came here to do what I want to do and get more than my fair share and you are in my way so move.
I know that the world in general is this way lately but I notice it more so when there is a large population of NY ers. I can't quite put my finger on it but its there.
I am sure they must say the same about us.
I think its new englanders in general, we tend to be reserved and keep to our own community. We definately don't have that southern hospitality we are sarcastic and down right rude at times.
We are told as children not to talk to strangers, but we were never told when its okay to start talking to strangers again.
" opinions are like assholes, everyone has one and they all stink"
so there is my smelly point of veiw on the matter.
