Iran have a lot of oil, yes, but it really depends on how you define 'biggest" in terms of their reserves. At the moment, Saudi Arabia has the biggest oil reserves in terms of what can be easily refined from crude.
Canada has billions of barrels of oil stuck in that tar sands stuff, but they can't (yet) refine it with economic viability. Likewise, Azerbaijan has massive oil reserves but there is little commercial exploration there (yet).
The problem with Iran is that they are a) mental b) rich and c) don't care what anyone else thinks.

I'm glad you see the difference between Arabs and Persians, but Israelities is a biblical term -- I think most people call them Israelies now
