Big Spending Republicans.

Unfortunately after 40 years of democratic rule the republicans chalked up many many favors due; to get them in power.

Also maybe they (like other politicians) get their money and power from pork.

The only way we could get responsible government from politicians is to always throw out the incumbent.
This would keep them off balance for a while.
