Question

2-stroke mix question...

so-o-o...

now that I'm playing at landed gentry out here on Bemused Acres, I gots me sum 2-stroke imp-plee-mints: namely, a chainsaw & a brushcutter. naturally, they call for different mix ratios (only ever had 1 gas device at a time before, so this wasn't an issue).

question: just how finicky are two-strokes about an EXACT mix of oil/gas? for example, the chainsaw calls for 45:1, the cutter wants 50:1-- can I split the difference, and avoid having two separate gascans? or will I fry one & gum up the other if I try it?

thanx in advance... all opinions / advice / verbal abuse / shameless thread hijacks / sexual innuendoes welcome.
