Indeed, beet, we are all immigrants. But keep in mind, so were the original settlers as they came across the Berring Straight, many years ago.
So, by that logic, none of us belong here.
Seriously, we have laws against people being here illegally, isn't that enough ? For that matter, try sneaking into ANY other country in the world and see what happens when you get caught without the proper documentation. A foreign government can do anything they wish to someone who does not belong there because said person is there, ILLEGALLY, subject to the laws in that country. Isn't it about time the laws are enforced ? We're not supposed to exceed the speed limits on the highways and roads, but when we get caught, we either pay a fine or go to jail. Why are the same standards not enforced against people who have no right to be here in the first place ?
The whole issue is about the rule of law. It seems as if people here, ILLEGALLY, have more rights than those of us who belong here and are productive, taxpaying citizens.
Perhaps the illegals don't understand our laws because they are predominantely written in English.......
