If your phone is set to privacy, it is nearly impossible for the police to get the phone company to tell them where someone is.. It's the phone company that does it, the police do not have a gps that tracks people sell phones, it has to be done by the service provider, and they don't just hand out that info.. I can't remember all the details but there was a case not too long ago where the police were trying to find someone, and they call there service provider, and they would not tell them where they were.. The phone companys and you, are protected by the Privacy Act ..
