If you are concerned about big brother listening to you talk on your cell phone, throw the thing away. If you don't want to be monitored with video surveillance while you are out in the public spaces, avoid cities and places you know they exist. If you don't want your movements and spending habits monitored use cash. Use the postal system for correspondences – avoid computers. Is it possible to not be monitored? – Yes, practical or convenient – Not really.
