North Korea is trying to force the U.S. to lift sanctions we already have in place from the Korean War. They also want us to finish building a nuclear power plant we started coutresy of Bill Clinton. They already have little money and could not afford to build much of an atomic bomb.

Nobody is really sure if it was an atomic explosion yet. There is little evidence at the moment to say it was. It was a very small explosion by atomic weapons standards. Only 500 tons of tnt as opposed to the one we dropped on hiroshima 15,000-20,000 tons. There is no evidence of a radiation spike yet, although underground explosions take a while to leach the radiation out. Japan has sent aircraft out to collect air samples and I'm sure the U.S. has also.

pingpongyong whatever, is not an idiot. He may be trying to bluff his way into one on one talks with the U.S. He certainly has been crying about how the U.S. has been being aggressive towards North Korea which might be all in his head.

As far as giving other countries "our" nuclear weapons that is just retarded. Why would we want to give a country that has no nuclear capabilities a bomb to examine and maybe produce? No countries bombs are built the same way. You can even tell what country the uranium came from by the radiation signature and the way the bomb exploded.
