I'm an immigrant, but I came here following the fuckin book. I didn't make any special requests, I learned the language, and I pay my taxes. Someone told me the other day that he was trying to have his father come here from Mexico I think, saying it was a nightmare with the immigration and everything...he said he should have this member of his family jump the damn fence and spare all the money and troubles. I so wanted to answer to that, but being the nice girl I am...I didn't say a word. I was still pissed off, because from my point of view, if I had to endure this whole process to come here legally, why shouldn't you and your family? Each time I talk about this, I feel like I'm beating a dead horse.
