Wow, I just read through this. I have only experienced one group ride with a wheelie, and it was so far in front of me, I barely saw it. And, it was someone I very rarely ride with.
For the most part, once you have met most of us, be it at bike night (which unfortunately I wont be able to attend until July this year), at the track or on a group ride, we are pretty safe and responsible. Good rule of thumb to follow: Ride with just a few people at first, then follow them around on rides they go on. I have learned everything I know about bikes on this forum, and have found a great group of riders, teachers, and (gasp) friends. |
