I've always liked the roof styles of Capes. I built my little camp in Maine over 10 years ago, actually built it at my house and trailered it up in sections.
It's not to scale but it has all the same features, big overhangs, 12/12 roof, 2 front dormers, full rear dormer with the same step in on the sides.
My future garage and future storage shed at my new house will also have the same style roof.
Yes, I have ridge and soffit vents, I just didn't want to cut the shingles until I was ready to install it so I could keep it dry inside the house. There is also a small attic space..though I'm thinking about having an open ceiling in the bedrooms upstairs? May have to check with the engineer on that one, Doug?
