Baseball is a sport. It's played for fun. It doesn't matter to me or my would be child if he isn't the best at it but enjoys playing regardless. One person can be the 'best' on the team. If the child wants to get better I'd encourage him to set goals and work to achieve them, but not loose sight of the primary goal of enjoying himself. I'm not seeing the anaology here. Are you saying in order for the redsox to be the best baseball team everyone from boston has to tell the rest of the country that their baseball teams suck and we have to hate players that leave the redsox to play for another team?
