So it's been a little over a week sence my last post, not a huge amount of work done on my part
I have most of the second floor partitions built, a couple closets, all the ceiling joists and some more blocking.
I also finally installed the lally columns in the basement today.
There has been some action with other people though. The shit tank was installed today..yet another change in plans due to the ledge... I have to build up the yard a little more than I wanted to.
The mason... This guy has lied to me from day one promissing this and that!! Two weeks and he's only to the second floor. I even had to get the building inspector out there to address his poor workmanship problems. Ya gotta love it when a friend recomends someone and speaks highly of them...and they fall on their face
It's kinda hard to see in the picture, but he wasn't cleaning the left over flue mortor off the flue liners, they are supposed to be free of any left over crap and smooth. He did get it cleaned with a brush and rebar...
The basement, didn't even put sand in the cleanout so it would be easy to remove all the motor that falls in
And the well drillers showed up today. As with every other thing in the ground on this lot, ledge!! He drilled 2' and hit ledge, it was solid for the 220' they drilled so far. I'm guessing they have a lot more to go because he also said he hasn't hit any measurable water so far...great
