"According to police and witnesses, a maroon 2001 Toyota Highlander driven by Douglas Mondello, 21, of Chelmsford, was attempting to make a left turn into the parking lot of the American Legion post at 90 Groton Road, also Route 40, when it struck a black 2002 Honda Accord driven by Richard Gagnon, 54, of Westford. A motorcycle traveling behind the Accord then crashed into its rear, sending its operator, 37-year-old Daniel Erickson, of Nashua, over the car's trunk and onto the asphalt." |
