Anyone following the America's Cup?

I've been watching the LV series and the America's Cup. Gotta love Tivo.

I grew up sailing and racing... crewed on a J24 and a J29 for years and years.

I would like to find a boat to crew on around here.

As for who wins... it not a big deal to me... especially since almost all the teams are made up of kiwi's.

Ditto the Luna Rossa comment... If the US couldn't contend then I would liked to have seen the Italians win it.

As for coverage... it blows. They may know how to sail, but it seems like they don't communicate tactics well to the audience. For the first 3 races all they talked about was boat speed and getting "lucky" with wind shifts. There's a lot more to winning a race than boat speed... and finding and playing wind shifts isn't always about luck.
