Just because your car is modded, doesn't mean you'll get the value of the car + $$$ from the mods when you sell it. Unless you sell it for someone looking for that exact car w/ those exact mods... maybe.

If anything, a modded car says to that the car was either driven hard or you've made a sacrifice to the longevity/integrity of the car. I know that from the factory, most cars are pretty anemic and the engineers have taken a middle of the road approach (to save costs and manufacturing time).

To some people, it's just fun to see how much then can get out of a car -- usually those people get a car, mod it out, get bored, part it out, sell car, buy another and start again. I can respect that. Then there's the ricers... and well... no explanation needed.
