When I was born my parents lived with my grandparents. My father is a farmer and my mom didn't work. They didn't have much but I always had food to eat and clothes to wear. I was born with a heart defect that required surgery. My parents didn't have the money for that and fell on Medicaid to help. They were paying on bills that medicaid didn't cover until I was 12. Would it have been appropriate to let me die considering I wasn't your child and your tax dollars paid for that?

I'm not bitter, i was raised with my traditional native american values that say you take care of everyone like they are family..even if you don't particularly care for them. You do it because its the right thing to do. If your child were hurt or got cancer today and you couldn't pay for the treatments..I'd step up and help you because its the right thing to do..even though I don't particularly care for you.
