I know I am setting myself up to be labels a mindless dem. drone here but...

If you think the media had a liberal bias between the period of 9/11/2001 and somewehere around June 2006 you must to lean so far to the right you need to piss outside for fear of missing the bowl.

While much of the media remained in "liberals" control they were either too scared or too dumb to ask questions about what the US was doing durring this time. It was ONLY once there was clear indication that the public was going to vote overwhelmingling to shit can every Rep. they could find in 2006before the media switched gears, almost overnight into the Bush / War bashing idiots they are today.

As someone who wanted very much to see those responsible for 9/11 to be caught and for nothing like that to happen again, I never have had a feeling the gov. or military knew who the fuck they were chasing. No matter in afganistan, iraq, or anywhere else. But they needed someone to blame and somewhere to fight and make us feel like the military could keep us safe from terrorist so off we went to iraq.

And while I see the point some have made that at least those who hate us have a place to go pick a fight in iraq that theory only puts other questions in my mind. If indeed iraq is keeping 1 terrorist from trying to attack america directly, don't you think it is also giving a reason for 10 new terrorist to see the US as an imperial tyrant? And who in the military signed up not to fight for the freedom of US citizens but to be a decoy, to be shot at, and ambushed endlessly with not a clue what the final objective is.
