    ipod controls for bike

This looks promising. For bicycles but cant see why it can't be retrofitted for
    a motorcycle.

I need one of these after being pulled over by a cop and not being
able to hear him with my phones on and not being able to quickly
    turn it off.

if you have a chatterbox system you can put a bluetooth adapter on your ipod and go wireless.it works great.

How is bluetooth sound quality? it sounds to me like to many
pieces of hardware to just play an iPod though.

I just want a wireless remote control that's weatherproof.
My iPod's in my pocket / the control is on my bar. That's it.

This product above looks to be it.

    I have the iPod iJet.

Its awesome. I have my ipod in my jacket and I use a remote that uses RF transmissions to communicate with my iPod so that I can Play/RW/FF etc...

u r right it is a lot but if u ride with friends a lot the chatterbox is great.it makes the ride that much more fun.it also helps with group rides:getting caught at lights, letting other know that it is safe to pass.the sound quality isn't as good because the speakers don't go in your ears they are mounted inside the helmet

do you wear full-fingered gloves? i have a hard time trying to do this with mine...and forget trying to do it on an iphone or ipod touch.

i do wear A* gauntlets with pretty fix finger, the only think i cant do with the gloves on is adjust the volume, i have a case on the ipod that is raised up, so i can easily tell where the wheel is and go from there, it sits upright in my pocket so i know its upside down, so play is at the bottom, menu on the top, and next song on my left, previous on my right.

Ok here's another good looking option

    Monster® iEZClick™ Remote Control for iPod®

    Amazon has em for $35.
I like the wireless solution. Just strap it outside the sleeve.

This isn't exactly what everyone else is talking about but... I went with skull candy headphones with a volume control on the wire. I usually only ride while playing one of my play lists so I really don't need any controls other then volume.
