Someone's been reading too much of Rush's web site.
He didn't give them a chance to do anything, he canned them almost immediately, and said it was for poor job performance, when in fact it was because they were not aligned with his political beliefs.
There is nothing wrong with canning people for that reason, its not illegal. It is, however, illegal to say you fired someone for poor job performance when in fact that was not true. If he'd simply followed protocol and not been a dick about it, no one would have even noticed his taking office (aside from the multitude of questions he wouldn't answer before taking office, but we'll leave that out of it.
