I would like to put in a formal complaint that the "
" smiley has been grossly over-used in recent months. I would like a limit of 2 uses per month by members in order to preserve this very special and meaningful smiley. Those of you who abuse the privaledge of the twofinger smiley know who you are and should be aware your actions could lead to the extinction of this smiley.
A bit of history: "Over-usage" of smileys has been a big problem since 1993 when AIM first started implementing smileys as a part of their Instant messaging program. By 2001 the classic smile smiley, wink smiley and sad face smiley were on the brink of extinction. Thru the efforts of many programers new smileys were created to allieviate the huge burdon these smileys had begun to face. It was a huge success until now. The NESR is faced with a grave problem, a problem as big as global warming.... The end of the Twofinger smiley....
This is a very important initiative and I know that the Admins/ Mods will take care with this matter and do the right thing. Through education and self control we can stop this problem. I look forward to your speedy response to this situation.
