One way to look at it...yet let me elaborate using your analogy.
When you're a highly skilled driver, you're not paying for the car you're racing. Not only that if it gets dirty, or a fender starts sagging, somehow it gets itself all fixed up for the next time you need to perform in it.
'perform in it', man that sounds dirty. I like it!
