Angry Internet Talk

I am amazed by the recent rash of pissy posts here on NESR. This tone usually begins in about mid-January, when all of the fall and winter season wrenching on the bikes is done, and the weather isn't cooperating with the ensuing test ride.

I have always been amazed by how bent out of shape people will get over something that is posted on the internet (myself included at times). I have always figured that a little ball busting is always in order, and frankly, there is nothing someone could say on the internet that is really going to make one inkling of a difference in my life. People call me a sheep fucking, fat, slow, piss poor mechanic on a regular basis on here. Ignoring the fact that someone who would say that would be 3 for 4, I really could care less. I imagine its like hanging out with friends at a bar; you bust balls, but you dont mean anything by it.

And thats my point. Why in the hell would anyone let something someone said on a web forum get them pissed off? Why give the other person the satisfaction of knowing they got under your skin? Who even cares?

I know I've been at the center of more than my share of flaming threads. To be honest, I just enjoy it, I like busting people's chops, and having them give it right back. At the end of the day, you are all part of a kind of unspoken brotherhood of sportbike riders. And if any of you were stranded up in VT because your bike was broke, or you needed a hand with something, or you just wanted to stop by and say hello, shoot me a PM or a phone call, and I'll do whatever I can. (Yes, that includes Kham, R6Whoever, curio, and anyone else I've pissed off lately )

I just thought it was time for an cyber reality check, sorry for the uber thread.
