I don't remember much about Carter, I was a young adult, good job, doing well and not really paying attention to political culture
72 was the first presidential election I voted in, only time that the guy I voted for won
then came Ford, what was the name of that program (W)hip (I)nflation (N)ow
all I remember is that I couldn't get a raise in pay due to the wage & price freeze, but they didn't freeze the price of gasoline a 30｢ increase at the pump meant the price doubled, then there was gas rationing
