Lowering 03 CBR 600RR

just another short guy adding his 2 cents...

i'm about 5'5" on a good day and i started out on one of those crappy EX250s, and yes it was crappy. as my bikes grew larger over the years (finally culminating in a ZX-12R) i never once resorted to lowering it... never dropped it either. i credit the EX with giving me the confidance to ride any unlowered bike i pleased. much like another member and his RC51, i had to push my 12R around parking lots (always a source of amusement for my riding buddies at the time).

however, since you are a new rider and already bought the 600RR. i say lower it if you must. you can always unlower it when things start scrapping the ground as you progress as a rider. the most important thing is to feel comfortable for your first year or so. after you gain some confidance the sky is the limit... though i still tend to shy away from motards and tall adventure bikes.

...but, what the hell do i know.
