Well, this is how it went down:

I offered my CBR600RR to Denno to race if he could do a 1:22 at Loudon during a trackday. He ran the bike all day and I went out and timed him while he was lapping with Saxman leading him around. They just beat 1:22 and so I said "It's all yours to race if you want it." A couple of weeks after that he decided to buy Mike Martire's bike and race that. Cool! It has all the race goodies already installed.

Now, a couple of weeks later I got a call from a friend of mine asking if I knew anyone who I thought would put in a good ride on a Triumph 675.

Dennis had gone to VIR on:

a. A new to him un-setup bike.
b. A new track to him
c. Straight into the fast group

He hit the ground running and did impressive times without bitching about this and that. I was impressed and remembered that when Clive asked me to find him a rider.

I went to Clive and asked if he would be interested in a complete rookie who showed promise. He loved the idea of developing a bike and a rider at the same time and we set up a meeting (interview kind of thing).

The rest is history. We will see how the rest of the story pans out. The end of December test in Jennings will be a telling time. New bike, new tires, new track, who knows. I'm hoping for good things.
