so when I spent 6 weeks unemployed because i got laid off from a corporate restructure I was lazy and greedy? I spent every day searching for a job, but I was too educated for many "menial" positions and underexperienced for anything that would pay the bills. I was turned down because I was too expensive and turned down due to inexperience. Since I know the paint guy will come back, I will point out that I used to paint houses (interior and exterior) for 8 years, nd when I applied for that job I was turned down because I "would not be an adequate employee due to my small stature" (I was turned down because I was female).
Not all unemployed Americans are as horrible as you say. Could I have scrubbed toilets for $5.25/hr? Probably if any jobs like that were open in this area at the time.... All generalizations are false.
