I had to purchase new fork springs anyway, the springs I pulled out apear to be the wrong ones. The Suzuki manual list the service limit on original springs as 459mm(18.1 in) however the set sitting on my office floor at the moment would be lucky to reach 330mm. Obviously a home job done wrong.
Any further expansion on what you mean by "remove the droop limiter and make a longer preload spacer" would be appreciated. |
The droop limiter goes over the damper rod and against the top out spring. It limits how far the fork can extend. The preload tube needs to be shortened to maintain proper preload as well.
