| Re: 05 CBR600RR Here's the letter I have been sending to potential buyers asking for more info. Note the part about being firm at $5500. I'm putting on brand new tires and leaving the Yosh slip on on the bike. That's $700 right there.
First the bad.
Scratch on left duct cover. $35 piece from Honda.
Small scratch where upper meets duct cover on right. Looks like a tie down rubbed it. Very small (about the size of a dime).
Spool tab broken off on left side of swingarm from a lowside from racing. Bike checked at GMD after crash and given a clean bill of health chassis-wise.
The good:
I have the stock mirrors and exhaust, both mint.
The title is clean and in hand (previous owner signed it over with no buyer shown and I did not title it yet. Simply add your name to buyer section and title it.
I will be installing the Pro-Tek rearsets on it that it came with. They are GP or standard, whatever you wish.
I won't go lower than $5500 as I have about 5 people who want to come and look at it. I'm away at the track for the weekend, so viewing will start Monday. Also, I didn't list the Yosh slip-on in the for sale, but it comes with it. I am also going to buy a brand new set of Pilot Power 2CT tires (or tires of the buyer's choice) and mount and balance them. I won't sell it with the race tires on it as they suck in the rain and aren't street legal. Also, it will come with a fresh Honda synthetic oil and filter change.
The bike is 'genuine' I'm not hiding anything. It has 835 track miles on it from a novice racer and my one trackday in the rain. The bike runs like a top, is quiet in the valvetrain and shifts smoothly. I wouldn't sell junk, never have, never will. It is what it is and $5500 is below what I could get for it if I wanted to wait for the right buyer to come along. They are $6k all day long on CL. |
