can people leave their bikes in the garages overnight?

the problem with trucking up in a minivan, is that the seats (which would otherwise double as a bed) need to come out to fit the bike inside...but if I can leave the bike in the garages overnight, then I could just lay a sleeping bag and/or air mattress down inside the van
