Has a racer ever been proven negligent? I'd be suprised. Is it negligent to try to win? Because that's the whole point of racing. Finish in front of as many guys as possible.

The guy in this case clearly did it wrong, because he didn't finish, he injured someone, and damaged 2 bikes. That's a mighty big screw up, but I think it's be impossible to prove negligence.

What's negligent is getting on the track in the first place! You're neglecting your own safety.
