Back in 1989 I bought a 1955 double dye wheat penny for 200 bucks and today it's worth over $1500. I have an average size collection I've amassed over the years (close to 2000 rare coins) and I know I'm not a nerd!.
Look for a good dealer, collector through your local yellow pages. Make sure you try to research the coins a bit before you walk in the door of the dealer though, most of them will try like hell to rip you off |
there you go, it was so long ago the only thing i remembered was it was valuable because of the messed up die that printed it only gave em three legs.
Ill definately look more into it, i just got a phone call today so i dont even know what it looks like yet. All i know is it was handed down to her from someone that had it handed down to them that had it handed down to them.
I used to have one of those penny books but i gave up trying to fill it up when i realized the last few were almost impossible to find.
thanks
