The only thing that makes me not want to replace the drywall is that would mean replacing or at least removing the tub as well. The tub's in good shape and I figured it would add unnecessary cost to rip it out of there...
Then again, as my coworker is fond of saying, "if you can't afford to do it right, how are you going to afford to do it over?"
Is there any way to tell if I have mold resitant drywall? The spot above the tub where the ceiling started to peal off doesn't appear moldy, but I dunno if it's something you can tell by just looking at it..
