| Re: Eating Healthy One good trick to do also is to look at what you are eating. Watch every bite. Do not watch tv or get distracted while you eat. If you look at your food while you eat you will get fuller faster and cut down the amount you eat.
One thing that's been ingrained in me since I was a kid is to eat everything on the plate. Thats what your parents tell you right? "Your not getting up from this table till that plate is spotless". Its okay to not finish. You can always snack on it later. Its better to break a big meal into 2 meals.
If you eat one big meal, your digestive system slows down when its done. Then the next time you eat its gotta fire up again. If you take the same amount of food an spread it out your digestive system keeps going and processes food more efficiently. |
