Mine is steady at around 175F when moving, that's when the thermostat opens/closes.
Fan comes on at 220 in traffic, which happens pretty easily.
We are all at the mercy of the manufacturers here.. bikes will probably only get hotter. Current bikes run hotter then the old ones cause the EFI allows them to run leaner mixtures.. better fuel economy & emissions as emissions tend to drop as exhaust gas temperture goes up.
All the extra horsepower isn't helping either.
I swear mine runs a little cooler with the map richened a little.. but I can't prove it scientifically or anything.
