| Re: SAXMAN & Pookie, how was Summit I got in there about 130am friday morning. Unpacked went to bed. Friday morning @ 730 Jamie knocks on my trailer wakes me up. Looking out its not raining, but you can tell it was poorin pretty good through the night. Went through tech pretty quickly. The riders meeting was breif. Sessions were broken into Open Amatuer, Open Expert, MARRC School. Went out for the first session on a wet track, did 2 laps and said fuck this. With the sealer the track as just way to slipper. Sat out for a few sessions and let the track dry up. the track was much better dry, no where near as slippery. Still bumpy as hell though.
I did 5 races this weekend, i didnt write my thoughts down through the weekend so im not gonna bother to try to recreate them. im no where near exhausted like i would be at loudon, the track is so much less demanding physically. I do know i was picking up the track better as the weekend progressed. Always pushing trying to see how much farther i could go. Even though the track surface was redicuosly horrible. i liked the layout of the track alot. going down the front straight at redline in 6th gear in what feels like a forrest was awesome. I had a groundhog come out in T2 and supposivle a deer came out there as well. if they ever repave the track i would be glad to go back down and try it out again |
