Yup, that's the one. The trail brings you around the backside of Moose Mountain. We started out the same way you, Leah and myself left GreenVille that day and did the Shirley Tote loop...the trail that WAS miserable and muddy? Let me tell ya, that trail dried up and was awesome...I was amazed
There was a Y in the road we came to (12.4 miles from gas in Greenville to be exact), we went left that day and that took us back to the Shirley Tote Rd, then to the CC Rd..this trail takes a right at that Y and it is about 45 miles from that point. We actually stopped a bit south of Rockwood.
Weekdays are where it's at, we saw 2 people that day on ITS 85 and knowone at all on the trail heading to Rockwood
