I told myself I wouldn't reply in this thread anymore, but...
I *DO* owe Jacob a public apology as well as the other admins as they had no idea I'd done that. Simply put, it was random. It coulda happened to anybody who's name was on the 'who's online' list at that time. I wasn't even certain it was functional. I tried using on that BossHoss dude a while back and it didn't seem to do anything. I think I tried it on those 2 militant lesbian chics 'way back when' too, to no avail. And in all honesty, I entirely forgot I had done it 'til Jacob started the thread and I wasn't sure it did anything...
I don't dislike Jacob, I don't know him well enough to draw that conclusion. My initial replies were kneejerk reactions and shouldn't have been said publicly - I should've handled it better...
So in a nutshell: Yes, I owe Jacob an apology. And I owe the other admins one as well. Yes, we have a 'miserable user' feature that works now. This wasn't an 'attack' or the beginning of the end of NESR. It wasn't done for any other reason than '...oh, I wonder if this is working now...'  |
