So here it is over two weeks later and I still don't have the thing back.
After they found the Tech that had the laptop it was delivered back to my office on Tuesday while I was at the track. After a full day of working and riding, I drove home (Loudon to W. Bridgewater MA) at 9:00pm arriving at 11ish to do the payroll. Only when I turned it on....pfft.....not fixed. I could not do a single damn thing! Get back in the truck and drive back to the RR for the second TTD on Wednesday, arriving at 2:30am, 80.00 in fuel later, with still no payroll done and 35 soon to be angry employees on the horizon.
Thursday when I return to work I call and they come pick it up again.
Apparently, I did not have a virus but a failed hard drive.
Dell ships the hard drive to the IT guy, yadda yadda....I should have it back today.
This morning I went to their offices and had a very nice, polite, calm conversation with the owner. I expressed my frustrations, concerns etc regarding my dedicated support team and gave him some of the recent history regarding this and other issues.
I just got a call from the owner....the dude just got fired.
Now I feel like such an asshole
