I'll be starting mine soon too. I only measured the thickness of my cove, but it sure was plenty thick. Ice surface looks good so far, it was plenty cold before the snow this year. Last year was a complete wash, I only got a coupla weekends out of it 'cuz the ice was so slushy here. But the year before, I probably did more laps plowing than actually riding. I put a coupla hundred miles worth of plowing on that year, just on that 1/2 mile track!

Too much going on for me to do anything on our lake for a week or so. But I'm taking a coupla weeks off around Xmas/New Year's and I plan to tend to it. Bonfires & hacking it up on the ice? Fahgeddaboutit!

Glad I didn't plow yet. The lake surface is nothing but mush right now. The bright side is it's supposed to rain like a mofo, then deep freeze next week. This weather will at least keep the sleds off the lake for now too!

you do this out on locke lake? I got a yz85 i was thinking of studding for the ice... might be fun! You guys do any ice wishin' out there?

Right? Every time I set out to do this, I vow not to do the same layout. Never fails, once we get it cut in it always turns out to be the EXACT same layout! WTF?

Yeah, I do a track on Locke Lake. There's usually a couple of 'em out there. Mine is always the only 'road course', the others are small ovals...

The fish don't bite good on Locke, but we kill time in my neighbor's bobhouse that he puts on Halfmoon...
