Rear shock GSXR1000 08 Question

Hello all, I just installed my rebuilt rear shock (by RaceTech

). I noticed when reinstalling it I had an Aluminum, Washer, I don't know if it was from somewhere else or what. I attached some photos of the washer where I think it went, and the manual states (the Red Arrows) there isn't one. There is a gap between the Shocks Cushion Rod and Lever, and I'm not sure if that is suppose to be there. Any suggestions are appreciated

Someone on the Gixxer site replied with a correct image of fiche film compared to my 2007-2008 manual.
