I've got some electronics I'd like to sell. Cash money meetup in metrowest MA area. Preference to folks who want multiple items.

$120 - Samsung Galaxy S3, blue 16GB, Verizon. Mint. Comes with otterbox case, wall charger, headset, one aftermarket (higher capacity) battery, one OEM battery.

$100 - Sony DSC-W300 cyber shot camera. 13.6MP, Zeiss lens, lots of features. Really great point-and-shoot camera when you want something better than a phone and don't want to lug a DSLR around. Comes with camera, soft case, transfer and video cable, wall charger, and a waterproof bag that I used when doing some snorkeling.

$50 - TI89 scientific calculator. Thing does integrals and all that top shelf business. Good for engineers.
$beer - texas instruments finance calculator. Good for accounting/business.
$beer - Western digital mybook external HD, 320GB. Comes with wall charger and a cable. Didn't bother with a pic of this, it's a black plastic box.

$beer means buy me a beer if I know/like you, otherwise give me 10 bucks or something.

My 10yo has been bugging me for a camera he can use to make videos, take close up pics of models he's building, etc. How does that camera stack up? Does it use proprietary Sony memory sticks or can I use SD cards?

This would be a good match. I used it for some macro work (botanical gardens, etc) as well as some video. It has a breadth of features, allowing you to get quite "manual" with it, as well as various pre-set modes to make it easier to take certain types of shots in an auto fashion. So you can go either way with it. It takes really nice shots for a small point and shoot.

It does use the sony memory cards. I have a 1gb one in there. You can buy more/bigger for dirt cheap on amazon if you need more, which you might for videos, but I always found it to be enough. I'm pretty anal about downloading/clearing between big shooting days.
