Michelin, Dunlop, Continental

Need advice!! Which tire is best for backroad twisties and longevity? I've narrowed it down to the pilot road 4, conti attacks, and battleax. I'm open to other brands.
Currently running pilot road 3 w/5k on them. 04' VFR800

Pirelli angel GT is supposed to be very sticky and high mileage. Might be worth taking a look.

I really like the Road Attack 2. Good in rain and long life. I may try the Pilot Road 4 on the Triumph next.

I was getting 13k miles out of my Roadsmart IIs on a Concours 14, very happy with them. This time around I'm trying the Road Attack II EVO, they feel great; I doubt I'll get as much life out of them.

I've ridden Pilot road 2s, 3s, and Angels. I prefer the PRs Right now I have a set of PR3 on the FJR and they inspire confidence in shitty conditions.

Thanks Rada, Thelglu. My only issue with the road 3 is I feel like I falling away on tight corners. Never had this issue with dunlop or ppower 2.

I put a pair of Metzler M5's on late last fall and was very impressed with their performance in colder and cold/wet conditions. Fast warm up too. I 've got about 1k miles on them and they still look new. No experience over 50°f yet though.

The pilot roads have a taller profile than a lot of other tires I've ridden. I actually really like it. Makes the bike tip in easily and carve nicely.
I keep running Pilot Roads on my street bike. They wear well, handle just about anything and are priced reasonably compared to some of the others.

I have bridgestone 'sport touring' tires on some of my other rides now and am unimpressed. These tires were considerably cheaper and they feel it.

The lean angles I can do without worry on the Vstrom with my PR4's is pretty absurd. Down at Deal's Gap I can't find the limit of those tires. Even on long 45 mile runs at 70+mph on sweepers the whole time on the Cherohola Skyway, the things just don't give up. If it's REALLY hot and you are REALLY pushing them, they start to get a little greasy out at the limits, but that's the type of riding you should be doing on Q3's, Supercorsa's, etc, not road tires with deep rain siping.
