ADK conditions?

Anyone have any knowledge on road conditions in the Adirondacks following this winter? Feel free to PM if you'd rather not publicize. Thanks

Depends on the road. The more major ones are in good shape. T Rd, when I rode it a couple of weeks ago, was better than I expected -- still had a little of the grey powdery sand scattered about, but was a lot cleaner than I thought it would be. It's getting a little bumped up in spots, but those should settle somewhat in the coming weeks.

A lot of the minor roads are going to be really sandy for a long time to come though.

They just hammered the salt around here because of a scattered snow showers. Placid and around the t rd got a couple inches of snow but have melted. The Hurricane mountian road is completely covered in sand and salt. The roads around Wilmington are nice I was just out that way last weekend.

I don't suppose anyone would care to share what "t road" is.

It's a road whose name/location we don't publicize because it's the best twisty road in the area and we'd rather not have it overrun by squids.

But truth be told, it's actually not very difficult to figure out the full name of the road by doing a little searching and reading. And most of us western Vermont NESRians would be happy to show you the road if you ride over our way sometime.

Went through last week and there were stones in a number of corners as well as some migrating turtles. Be careful and respectful.

73 from the interstate up through Keene Valley was fine. Didn't head to Lake Placid. 9N from Keene Valley to E-town was smooth but boring (as usual).

T road is in great shape. The hurricane mountian road is still sandy in spots. There's not any construction out there right now also the road from Wilmington to bloomingdale is mostly fresh pavement.
